WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CONVENTION
Obedience to Biblical Teachings:
For many Christians, giving to the church is a practice based on the teachings of the Bible. The concept of tithing (giving a tenth of one's income) is found in the Old Testament, such as in Malachi 3:10, where believers are encouraged to bring their tithes to support the work of God. While the New Testament does not prescribe a specific percentage, it encourages cheerful and generous giving (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Supporting the Ministry:
Giving to the Convention helps fund the ministry of the church, which includes pastoral care, worship services, religious education, and community outreach. This financial support is essential for the day-to-day operations of the convention and the ability to carry out its mission.
Maintaining The Convention Facilities:
Donations are often used to maintain and improve church buildings and facilities. This includes repairs, renovations, and ensuring that the physical space is welcoming and functional for worship and community activities.
Generosity and Blessings:
We believe that giving to the Convention leads to blessings in their own lives. This is often framed as a reciprocal relationship with God, where giving is seen as an act of faith that can result in spiritual, emotional, and material blessings.
